Balmain is designing the looks for the 2017 Victoria’s Secret fashion show

Ahead of this year’s lingerie show extravaganza, Victoria’s Secret has been keeping its roll call of A-list musical performers tightly under wraps: but that’s not the only secret the underwear powerhouse has been keeping up its sleeve.
In a cryptic series of Instagram posts, the brand has just announced it will be collaborating with Balmain on official looks for the 2017 show, which is slated to kick off in Shanghai in November.
A statement from Victoria's Secret confirmed that the Parisian fashion house’s Creative Director Olivier Rousteing has made his first move into lingerie, designing a collection that “looks to the sexy, modern silhouette that Victoria’s Secret is known for, while incorporating Balmain’s instantly identifiable style”.
So what can we expect? No other details about the collaboration have been released, but if past Balmain collections are anything to go by, we can expect to see plenty of brocade, bodycon shapes and Rousteing's trademark power shoulders.

The Parisian designer also counts many of the Angels confirmed to walk in this years Victoria's Secret show as close pals.
Models Gigi and Bella Hadid, who will both take to the catwalk in November, are part of what’s been dubbed Rousteing's “Balmain Army”.
The collaboration marks the first time any brand has partnered with Victoria’s Secret to create an exclusive collection.
In 2015, the Balmain teamed up with Swedish retail giant H&M for a 109 piece collection.
